The Republican-majority House of Representatives has passed a resolution requiring President Donald Trump to either end the conflict with Iran or seek Congressional approval to continue military actions.
This is the third symbolic measure of this nature passed by the House, with 220 votes in favor and 204 against. Seven Republican representatives sided with Democrats. The resolution comes 49 days before the midterm elections, but it's uncertain if the Senate will consider it before November. A similar resolution was approved by the House in July but has yet to be addressed by the Senate.
